NO! We clean and service our portable toilets on a weekly basis. This is included in the hire cost. Our staff are experienced and fully trained and ensure the portable toilets ar emptied and in a clean condition for use.
We service all our Portable Toilets on a weekly basis as part of the hire cost so you don’t need to worry and the toilets will be kept in a serviceable condition.
All of our toilet servicing is done between 7.30am and 4.30pm weekdays. This excludes bank holidays and weekends, unless by special arrangement. This is to ensure the portable toilets are ready for use throughout the week and are continually in a good condition for use.
If you’re booking toilets for an event then servicing during your event can be arranged; we are happy to discuss your specific requirements on booking.
This is helpful if access is needed to the site, eg. Gates unlocked, etc. However, if you are happy to ensure there is clear access and provide any specific delivery instructions we are happy to deliver or collect without the need of anyone on site, saving you time and hassle for your portable toilet hire.
Our standard single cubicle portable toilet units are 1.2m square and 2.31m high while accessible toilets are 1.6m square and 2.31m high. You must also ensure there is enough space to open the door and sufficient access for our Operatives to empty the toilet on a weekly basis. Our welfare units, urinal units and disabled access toilets are larger and will require more space. Give us a call and we will be more than happy to advise you on the best solution for your requirements.
No, we do not recommend this as the toilet needs sufficient ventilation to minimise smell and clear access to carry out the weekly service of the unit.
To deliver and collect the toilet we will need clear access to the site where it will be placed and clear access to service the unit. For servicing the unit will need to be positioned no more than 10 metres from the service vehicle in order to empty and clean the unit thoroughly. The toilet should be positioned on level ground and away from any doors or windows that will require access. Our Operatives cannot manually lift the toilet over walls or through gates so this needs to be considered for portable toilet hire.
We recommend that if you need the toilet moved more than a few metres from its current position that you contact us and we will arrange for one of our Operatives to move the toilet for you to ensure the move is carried out safely and without damage to the portable toilet. If you need to move the toilet whilst it’s on hire, please be careful. You need to ensure our operatives still have clear access to the toilet for cleaning & servicing.
No. Please do not put anything other than toilet roll into the toilet as this can cause serious blockages. If a toilet becomes blocked and we are called out to fix the problem, extra charges may apply. This will be explained at the time of booking and installation.
The toilet units do not have lights installed but external lighting will filter through the translucent roof.
Toilets can be locked when not in use, either with a coin or securing a cable tie or small padlock through the metal hasp on the door. For more security, there is a metal hasp which can be secured using a padlock. We recommend using a combination padlock so you can advise us of the code. This then ensures we can carry out the weekly cleaning and servicing if you are not on site.
No. Please do not store anything in the toilet. The units are not designed for storage of tools and equipment and could damage the unit, which may then incur charges. If there are multiple users of the toilet this would also reduce space for use by others.
The chemicals used in our portable loos are made specifically for portable toilets and are biodegradable. No other chemicals should be added to the tank as it can cause them to be less effective. If you require a copy of the Health & Safety (COSHH) Datasheets regarding the chemicals we use please contact us and we’ll be happy to supply.
If the toilet is not flushing then please contact us immediately and we will get an operative out to you as soon as possible to resolve the problem for you.
The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) advise that if you employ anyone you must so far as reasonably practicable provide adequate and appropriate welfare facilities for them while they are at work. This includes toilet facilities.
We appreciate as much notice as possible to ensure we can deliver the toilet on the first day you need it. We work on a first-come, first-served basis, so the more notice you can give us the better. We will always strive to provide a suitable solution for you.
